Description
With the increasing use of technology in the classroom, from PowerPoint to the use of online course management tools (such as WebCT and BlackBoard), there is an opportunity to expand the level of student involvement in their own learning. Macromedia flash is a multimedia authoring tool that can integrate sound, video, animation, and images into a rich interactive environment which can be used in a variety of ways by the instructor as well as the student. Participants will learn the concepts and ideas behind creating flash animations for classroom instruction, web applications and much more. Topics such as the fundamentals of animation including and other Flash concepts such as importing graphics, using key frames, various types of motion-tweens, simple animations, building buttons, and simple scripting will also be covered. Participants will then develop their own flash projects as a part of the workshop. This workshop will focus on the use of Macromedia Flash in a Windows based environment.
This will be a hands-on workshop where participants will learn useful software skills for the future development of their own flash animations and interactions.
Participants will need to bring their own graphics and creative ideas to this workshop, but resources will be provided to help.
