This workshop is designed to provide secondary and post secondary instructors with introductory skills in GPS and GIS as applied to range and natural resource management. Participants will learn the use of GPS for simple data collection and GIS for displaying maps of this data. Instructors will gain hands-on experience with GPS/GIS and leave the workshop prepared to teach fundamental geospatial concepts in their classroom.
Time will be spent outdoors collecting data that participants will the transfer in the computer lab in order to not only collect data but learn how the information can be used to make decisions. Long pants, boots, or heavy duty shoes are required for field collection.
Registration begins May 7th and will be open through June 7th.

Graduate college credit or CE?s is available through Idaho State University for an additional charge of $50
